» Biography «

Celina Dejarnett was born in a high class family in Auvergne, France in 1428. Her father was a highly sought after surgeon and a mother whom worked as a perfumer. Celina was the middle child, and the black sheep of her family. Suffering from what is now known as Schizophrenia, the young woman underwent many types of treatment, such as shock therapy and other gruesome, ineffective methods that only worsened her mental health and condition. As she got older, the hallucinations grew worse, forcing her father to turn to Opium; it didn’t take long for the woman to become addicted, as it began to ‘cure’ her Schizophrenia. Once her Father noticed that her symptoms were gone, he cut off her supply of Opium. This drove the woman mad, and the hallucinations and paranoia came back with a vengeance. Stories of terror circled around the small village, giving the Dejarnett a bad name.  Her parents did not like the stories that were being told about their perfect family, excluding the ‘sick’ child that was Celina.

In 1451, Celina ran away from home, becoming a prostitute in order to pay for her opium habit. It was successful for a few weeks, until her parent’s hired someone to capture her and admitted her into an asylum, stripping her away from her family, and wealth. The time spent at the Asylum was nothing but a blur, giving credit to the heinous amounts of different medications that were given to her during her stay, the woman presently has no recollection of her time before Nicholas, and vaguely remembers the night he freed her from her personal hell. The night after she was turned into a vampire, she watched Nicholas play the violin, instantly falling in love with the stringed instrument. When her maker wasn’t looking, she sneaked into his case and began to fiddle with the instrument, determined to play as well as her maker. The vampire struggled at first, but mimicking the moves that her maker had done earlier, it was clear that Celina was a natural at the violin. Days later, Nicholas had purchased a violin for his progeny, and is now her most treasured item and is overly protective of the instrument. If anyone were to touch or get near it; it would drive the vampire into a frenzy; a frenzy that only Nicholas can get her out of.

When Celina was turned, a part of her schizophrenia had passed over, causing her to have hallucinations and suffer from minor paranoia. Playing her violins suppresses the symptoms and calms her down when Nicholas isn’t present to help her get out of it. She is very close to her maker, and is very loyal towards him. She will do anything he asks without any questions asked. The woman hates visiting him at the funeral home, not able to stand the scent of death, and the familiar scent that lingers around the parlor that give her horrifying hallucinations of her past.

When Nicholas moved to Renegade Island she gladly followed, not wanting to stay in Europe any longer. Presently, Celina owns and runs her own Bakery, finding peace when baking and decorating cakes. She enjoys creating her own pastries, but also keeps true to her French cuisine background. The bakery is run 24 hours, in which Celina works during the night, and her loyal employees work during the day. The vampire enjoys giving out free goodies to the children of Renegade Island, having a soft spot for them since she couldn’t have any of her own..
